4.5 - 5 Laura, you stole my own beating heart. Beating Heart is the fourth book in the Magnolia series of interconnected standalones.   This small-town romance captivated me from the first to the last page.  Beating Heart was everything I hoped it would be, and then some. I loved the banter and all of Laura's signature small-town sweet vibes. Laura, can you write a Cutler's story once he's grown up? He's my all-time favorite child character. What a personality! That epilogue was epic— thank you. Chef's kiss!

I can't wait to read Finding Hayes on October 24th!

This book is one of her darkest, most depraved works, and I devoured every twisted page. Brace yourself for an unimaginable journey straight into the depths of hell (and hopefully back).  THE ENDING is one big OMFG moment that will leave you breathless. Pepper eviscerated my heart, and I am dying to see what fate awaits Ily and Henri in the conclusion to the series, Diamond Kiss, when it releases in August. This soul-sucking series has rocketed to the top of my all-time best Kindle Crack list. Pepper, ILY!

Under the Stars (Cottonwood Cove #2) by Laura Pavlov gets all the stars! Laura turned up the heat, the feels, and the fun in the next Cottonwood Cove series book. I loved Georgia and Maddox! These two were the epitome of grumpy/sunshine couple. This interconnected series of standalones is fantastic. I adore the Reynolds family and can’t wait to return to Cottonwood Cove and read On The Shore (Cottonwood Cove #3) when it releases on July 27th. One-click worthy!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

 There is hot, and then there is THIS BOOK. This Day by Blanka Lipinska is nuclear hot. I loved that I had visuals of the characters from the 365 Days movie and the actors on Instagram pages. We met a few new characters in Don Massimo and Laura's world. Nacho (played by actor Simone Susinna in the 365 Days Part 2 movie) is crazy hot and quite a snack ;) We also get acquainted with Don Massimo’s twin brother. This Day played out like a steamyAF movie in my head. This smutastic mafia romance was hella sexy. Did I mention HOW CRAZY SEXY THIS BOOK IS? If you are looking for a wholesome, just-the-tip hearts and flowers romance, this is not it. These characters gold medaled in bedroom antics. I have to say the sexy time stuff did get a little old with a wash, rinse, repeat vibe. The Michele Morrone visuals made this 413-page book unputdownable.

This Day ended with a tear-jerker-worthy cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out in the final book in the 365 Days series. It needs to get translated from Polish to English ASAP. Teraz proszę.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5 Whoa, Practice to Deceive by Olivia Evans gave me some serve emotional whiplash. Brennan Dixon hatches a revenge plot, and Skylar Griffin has no clue she is participating in his plan. What happens when a relationship that’s based on lies turns into love?

I was infuriated by Brennan’s actions. There were so many times that I wanted to dropkick or hug him. If this story ended without a HEA, it almost would have been justified. I say almost because of the beauty of redemption. I ended up cheering him on in a big way! Practice to Deceive was a solid page-turner!

For the next couple of hours, we lay together on her couch watching reruns, wrapped up in each other. We didn't talk, but we didn't need to, we'd done enough of that. Even though there was still so much I was keeping from her, a part of me felt lighter, better. Because now I had one less secret, one less thing hanging over my head. I also knew, now more than ever, that if I wanted to be completely free of all the bullshit, I'd have to come clean. She deserved it.
