Kindle Cracks Review of Tracks
Tracks (Rock Bottom, #1)Tracks by Sarah Biermann

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Harvard law student Dylan Ackhart’s life turns into an episode of VH1’s “Behind the Music” as she almost gets trampled to death by crazed fans at concert. She is saved by rock God Jeremy Mason who stops his own show and sends help to peel Dylan off the ground. Dylan ends up backstage and meets her smoking hot savior. Sparks fly between the two and then burn out pretty fast. Dylan, who is fairly reserved, is quickly turned off by witnessing a back stage groupie orgy in the works. She thinks Jeremy must be a part of that scene and she doesn’t want any part of it. She takes off…but Jeremy hunts her down and they get to know each other. Dylan doesn’t know much about Jeremy except for what she has seen on TV or read in gossip rags. She learns that he has a long list of hits and an equally long list of problems with hardcore drugs and the law. The heart wants what the heart wants and she ends up getting caught up into a whirlwind romance. Dylan is desperate to immerse herself in all that is Harvard. On top of her studies and having a rock star boyfriend, the press is beating down her door, bitchy groupies are everywhere and then there is her friend Scott. Dylan knows Jeremy has issues…she knows he is broken… but does she really understand the extent? Is she going to destroy her lifelong dream while Jeremy lays down a whole lot of tracks on the road? Who is going to hit rock bottom first?

If love you angst filled bad boy rock star books…you have found a hidden gem. Sarah Biermann's first book Tracks cuts real deep into the underbelly of sex, drugs and rock and roll. This book unravels like a fast paced reality TV show. Tracks is some solid four-star Kindle Crack. Yes…there is a cliffhanger…but it’s not painful. I can’t wait for book two.

Review will appear on, Goodreads, Amazon and Twitter.

Cover Reveal and Promo for Searching for Tomorrow by Katie Mac

What happens when you find
the one person who completes you, and then life conspires against you? How do
you set your grief and anguish aside? How do you pick up the shattered pieces,
put those pieces back together again, and try to move on?

Katie and Tripp met on the
playground the first day of third grade when Tripp tried to rescue Katie from
Zack, her twin brother. A lifelong friendship that later blossomed into love
began that day.

Broken beyond her own
ability to repair, Katie boxes her grief up and attempts to raise her three
girls the best she can on her own. As time slowly passes, Katie relives her
times with Tripp while struggling most days to even get out of bed. She is
reminded of him at every turn.

Zack is Katie's twin brother
and was Tripp's best friend. Having lost his own love, he dedicates himself to
helping Katie put her life back together. Throw in a mother-in-law who torments
at every turn and poor Katie can't even find a chance to breathe, much less a
desire to somehow search for tomorrow.

New Book Release - King Hall by Scarlett Dawn

A fresh, meaty, sink-your-teeth-in-and-hold-on-tight new adult fantasy series kicks off with King Hall…

King Hall — where the Mysticals go to learn their craft, get their degrees, and transition into adulthood. And where four new Rulers will rise and meet their destinies.

Lily Ruckler is adept at one thing: survival. Born a Mystical hybrid, her mere existence is forbidden, but her nightmare is only about to start. Fluke, happenstance, and a deep personal loss finds Lily deeply entrenched with those who would destroy her simply for existing — The Mystical Kings. Being named future Queen of the Shifters shoves Lily into the spotlight, making her one of the most visible Mysticals in the world. But with risk comes a certain solace — her burgeoning friendships with the other three Prodigies: a wicked Vampire, a wild-child Mage, and a playboy Elemental. Backed by their faith and trust, Lily begins to relax into her new life.

Then chaos erupts as the fragile peace between Commoners and Mysticals is broken, and suddenly Lily realises the greatest threat was never from within, and her fear takes on a new name: the Revolution.

Cover Reveal - The Edge of Darkness by Melissa Andrea

I just added this one to my TBR...check it out.

Book Title: The Edge of Darkness
Author: Melissa Andrea
Series: Darkness Trinity

Araya Noelle.
I used to dance. I loved to dance, but I don’t anymore. I was in an accident I don’t remember…or maybe I don’t want to remember. Either way, every day since, has been…an adjustment and I’m left with a constant reminder that nothing is forever. Now, my life is a tangled web of darkness filled with deceit, hate, betrayal and lies. I don’t dwell on the past, I don’t regret and I don’t remember. I thought I was surviving – but then I met Ryland Dare and he changed everything. He reminded me that life’s worth living and that remembering isn’t always a bad thing.

You don’t know true darkness until you've felt light…

Ryland Dare.
On the outside looking in, some would say my siblings and I have had a pretty easy life. But beyond the fancy cars, the huge house and endless social events, is where the truth really lies. Power hungry father, defeated mother and fake friends? Yeah I have one of each. It’s not as depressing as it sounds. My brat of a sister, crazy ass brother and sweeter than sweet Annie, keep me entertained. Then Araya Noelle comes along and shows me what I’ve been missing. She thinks I changed her life, but really, she saved mine.

At the edge of darkness, a ray of light, will dare them to HOPE. DARE them to LOVE. DARE them to LIVE.

“I’m afraid I’m going to have this hanging on my conscious all day now.” he teased.
“That only seems fair.”
“Yes it does, but I have a better suggestion.” his voice slid over my skin like silk.
“Better for whom?”
“Go out with me.”
His proposal stunned me for a second and then I found my voice.
“So better for you?”
“I like to think of it as a mutual enjoyment.”
“I fail to see how.”
He shifted, and his breath hit my face in warm puffs. “Go out with me and I’ll show you.”

New Book Review: More Than This by Jay McLean

More Than This (More Than, #1)More Than This by Jay McLean

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow effing wow! Where did this book come from? I read More Than This in one sitting. I couldn’t put this book down if I tried.

Mikayla has it all. She has it all….an amazing family, boyfriend and best friend. Its prom night and she is ready to go make some memories. While at a pre-prom dinner some ass clown spills a drink down the back of her dress to get her attention. She runs off to the bathroom to dry off and finds walking into the beginning of the worst night of her life. Mikayla’s world is turned upside down. Nothing will be the same and life as she knows it is just a memory. Enter Jake Andrews…a hot Aussie transplant who helps Mikayla try and get her reassemble her shattered existence.

I’m not a “swooner” but Jake effing Andrews has made me into one. That is all.

I want to remain spoiler free and not ruin this book for you. Be prepared to go on a tsunami sized emotional roller coaster. I never saw the ending coming…talk about twists and turns! I laughed cried big ugly tears and even wanted to throw my Kindle a few times. More Than This by Jay McLean is one of those books that will stick with me forever…just like Colleen Hoover’s Slammed and Hopeless. FYI – the characters are seniors in high school/college freshman – but this not a YA book. There is no cliffhanger but a HUGE set up for the next book. FIVE baseball sized stars! Read this now.

Review will appear on,, Goodreads, Amazon, and Twitter.

Wow effing wow!!! Five stars

Just Reviewed - Seize Me by Crystal Spears

Seize Me (Breakneck, #1)Seize Me by Crystal Spears

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was 1:00am when I looked up from my Kindle and I realized I was in trouble…I can’t put this book down… I was seized. Seize Me (Breakneck #1) by Crystal Spears might be one of the most intense biker “love stories” I ever had the pleasure of reading.

Winter Belov is no stranger to violence. She ran away from her Russian mafia family after her father blows her boyfriends’ brains out. Winter becomes an exotic dancer in Las Vegas – leaving her pampered life behind. Winter and her best friend Lana are asked to dance at a birthday party for Braxxon Breaker, President of the Breakneck motor cycle club. Braxxon is exactly the type of man Winter wants to stay away from. He is a hard core criminal, drug dealer and murderer…but the heart wants what the heart wants. Braxxon is hot as hell and Winter falls for the crazy slut magnet MC president. Their sexual chemistry is explosive in more ways than one. Winter becomes a pawn in the middle of a revenge plot and swiftly descends into biker heaven and hell. Life will never be the same ever again.

Seize Me is one effing insane, no holds barred “love story” that takes place in the seedy under belly of the biker world. Crystal Spears doesn’t sugar coat anything. This is not a flowers and hearts story…this is in your face biker love, rape, drugs, torture and murder. Doesn’t sound like your type of book? It might not be…this story isn’t for everyone. I was in the mood for dark and twisted and I got it…big time. I devoured SM. The writer did a fantastic job unraveling this story from alternating POV. I loved Gummy bear addicted (you will understand when you read this) Winter. She wasn’t a human doormat. Winter might be one of the most bad ass heroines I ever have come across. Will I auto download the next book? Hello…you have to ask :) This is Kindle Crack baby!

Just Reviewed - Lick (Stage Dive #1) by Kylie Scott

Lick (Stage Dive, #1)Lick by Kylie Scott

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks to Momentum and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I felt like I scored a backstage pass to one of the best rock romances to hit my Kindle in a long time. Kylie’s Scott’s Lick (Stage Dive #1) Four and ½ rock Stars!!!! Total Kindle Crack. I read this book in one day….I didn’t have a choice…I couldn’t put it down!

Like the saying goes… “What happens in Vegas…stays in Vegas?” Not true if you can’t remember getting married the night before.
Twenty-one year old Ev Thomas wakes up on a bathroom floor after spending the night hugging the porcelain God puking her brains out. She quickly learns that the hot guy on the floor beside her happens to be her new husband and a rock star -- David Ferris. Not only is she wearing an ice cube sized engagement ring…but his name is tattooed on her ass. David isn’t too happy that his bride doesn’t remember their night together or the fact that she said “I do”. Ev has her future mapped out and being married (especially to someone she doesn’t know) is not on her agenda. Ev is swept into David’s life of paparazzi, band mate drama and groupies. Will they stay together or will secrets and lies keep them apart?

I LOVED this book and added it to my favorites/top rock band romance list. This super-fast paced story is incredibly well written, filled with just the right amount of angst, drama, steam and romance. It did have a normal girl/rock star fairytale feel but with a refreshing twist. There is no cliff hanger. Lick it up! (sorry old Kiss song:).

This review will appear on, , Amazon, Goodreads and Twitter.

Lick is Kindle Crack. 4 and 1/2 rock stars. Review to follow.

When he was just a boy, a powerful seer prophesied his role in events that would determine the outcome of the secret war his people had been fighting for centuries. Review - Fear of Falling by S.L. Jennings

Fear of Falling by S.L. Jennings

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“This is what you deserve, Kamilla, You’re a dirty filthy whore. And whores need to be beaten. You make me do this to you. You make me hurt you. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t love you.”

Kami’s childhood was a living hell. Her days are filled with fear…her dreams are littered with hate and despair. She is damaged...she is broken. Kami does her best to keep it together with the help of her two best friends – Angel and Dom. Every day is a struggle for her, and she is no stranger to numbing her anxiety-filled existence with booze. Kami had her share of hook-ups and one night stands and never allowed any relationship to develop into anything series. She didn’t feel that she was able to be in a relationship since she carried around more emotional baggage than a luggage factory. Kami believed that any man that scratch the surface of what she held inside would run for his life. Then she meets Blaine. For the first time ever Kami feels something in addition to fear...she feels something real with Blaine after sharing one hell of tequila-soaked body shot. One man tore Kami’s world apart. Now another man wants to break down the emotional fortress that formed around her heart and just love and protect her. Will Kami’s fears and violent past allow her to let Blaine in?

“There was too much…there. I don’t know what is was that crackled between us, but it was there. And it was confusing the hell out of me.”

Blaine is a scary-beautiful bartender covered in tattoos and some well-placed piercings. Blaine, who has own emotional baggage falls for Kami in a big way. Blaine and Kami’s story unravels so smoothly from alternating points of view.

“He represented something that I could never have: a serious relationship, companionship, trust…love. I had to keep reminding myself of that fact.”

S.L. Jennings Fear of Falling is truly an emotional journey into the heart of a survivor. Pack your bags for one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride that will haunt you. This isn’t your hearts and flowers romance. Be prepared to be exposed to a story filled with heartache, love, violence, lust, stress, fear and happiness. FoF is one of those stories that will stay with you long after you close your Kindle cover.

While this story was gut-wrenching at times…I did find myself laughing from the dialogue between Angel, Kami and Dom. Before I die, I will call someone a “cum dumpster”. While there is drama…there is also a sweet steam factor. Blaine and Kami’s chemistry is there…in a big way. Oh, Blaine….what a rock star. He might be my new book boyfriend. This book is not to be missed. FIVE haunting stars! No cliffhanger.

+++LOVED S.L. Jennings book references+++ Kami, and I have the same taste in books ; )

Pulse (Collide, #2)Pulse by Gail McHugh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dear Goodreads,

Can you please increase the number of stars in your rating system? I know I am not the only reader on here that would like to be able to give certain books 10+ stars. So when I sit down to write a review of Gail McHugh’s second book Pulse (Collide #2), I would like to be able to show my love for this book and its writer. I don’t know if my review writing skills could do this book justice...but adding extra stars would help. I’m sure you guys at Goodreads are real busy but can you add them to my review? Seriously, Pulse might be one of the best books I have read all year!

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Cheri or

PS – Could you also offer had a book hangover rating? Or how about a time stamp function to show what time readers were up to in the middle of the night because a book was SO DAM GOOD.

PPS – Can you require authors to warn readers about the dangers of cooking and reading a book like Pulse? I had a minor fire while cooking dinner last night. I got so into this book that my BBQ and my dinner went up in flames. I’m lucky I have a Pulse since Gail McHugh almost made me have a heart attack while reading this book.

The Edge of Never (The Edge of Never, #1)The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC provided by Netgalley and Hachette Book Group (Grand Central Publishing Forever) in exchange for a fair and honest review.

“I could die in this bed with him right now, wrapped in his arms and I would never know that I had died.”

The stars align and it all comes together and almost falls apart for "two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl" cut to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.

Camryn needs something...something to dig herself out of the emotional funk she has been in. She has loved and lost and felt like she hasn't lived. She grabs her lipstick, credit card, cell phone and buys a bus ticket (she picks the location based ticket person was that!).
Andrew is running from something...and boards a bus to visit his sick dad.
The stars align and they meet...I want to remain spoiler free. With that said. Be prepared to laugh, cry your heart out, lust and live on the road with this LOVABLE couple.

I didn't know what to think of this book...even when I was 60% the way through. Loved the writing, story, characters and then it The Edge of Never plunges you into an abyss of emotions. What a great effing book. I don't know what to say....except stop reading this (or whatever you are reading) now and buy this book!!! Big LOVE for J.A. Redmerski! Wow.... July 18th can't come fast enough. I cant wait for Fear of Falling to release. Add this one to your TBR

New Releases - This Man Confessed and Out of Breath are live on Amazon!

Two AMAZING books released overnight. This Man Confessed (#3) - by Jodi Ellen Malpas. The last book in this series. Jessie Ward might be one of my favorite effed up book boyfriends of all time. Book one is on sale on Amazon for .99. This smutastic series is not to be missed...

Then on the other end of the spectrum is Out of Breath (Breathing #3) by Rebecca Donovan. No smut here...just one huge box of Kleenex tissue box of emotion. This is a YA series will haunt me forever.

REVIEW - Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2)Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks Netgalley and Atria Book for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. Expected publish date: July 8, 2013

I remember reading somewhere that another book reviewer and fan of Colleen Hoover said that they felt “Hoovered”. I totally get that now. I think my heart was just “Hooverized” after reading Losing Hope. To be “Hooverized” is the feeling you get when you finish a Colleen Hoover book and your head and heart have been put through a gamut of emotions and you realize you just read one of the best books of your life… and it’s not likely you will ever feel the same way ever again.

I don’t know how she pulled it off…but she made Holder and Sky’s story feel like an entirely new book. Losing Hope is brilliantly told through Holder’s point of view. LH can be read as a stand-alone and an absolute must read for any Colleen Hoover fan. Why does Goodreads only allow five stars?

“I know I told her that she’s never really been kissed before, but until this moment I had no idea that I had never really been kissed before. Not like this. Every kiss, every movement, ever moan, every touch of her hand against my skin. She’s my saving grace. My Hope. And I’m never walking away from her again.”

This review will appear on,, Goodreads, Amazon and Twitter.
