Just Reviewed - This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas

This Man (This Man, #1)This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

FIVE STAR KINDLE CRACK!!
Move over Christian Grey and step to the side Gideon Cross there is a new man in town... Jesse Ward is a domineering, self-destructive beautiful disaster. He falls hard for attractive interior designer Ava O’Shea and will do anything to have her. Their relationship is nothing short of a Tsunami. She jumps into this relationship of uber dysfunction as she desperately tries to unravel this hot mess of a man. Their sexual escapades are vividly described without Jodi Ellen Malpas skipping a beat. Ava and Jessie have all kinds of crazy sex... hot, slow, hard, ummm...senseless, sleepy (you will understand after your read this book). They fight and fuck more than humanly possible. Loving bat shit crazy Jesse is a bitter twisted adventure for Ava...where Jesse is the God of “Jesseland” and determined to control every aspect her life (and shield her from his).
Jessie's skeletons and sordid tales of vaginas past start to slowly start surface as Ava learns that Jesse owns high-end hotel/swingers club where he is also member. She is in love and desperate to learn why he is a jealous controlling train wreck. Poor Ava --- Getting Jessie to open up about himself and his past is about as painful as watching a dental patient receiving root canal without Novocain.
I loved both books!!!! I will say the fighting and dysfunctional sex gets a tiny bit stale at times but Jodi Ellen Malpas is an incredible story teller. This isn’t your momma’s 50 Shades…This Man & Beneath This Man are both effing Smuttaskic books! Jeese is a whackadoo with a heart of gold and I couldn’t help but love him in the end. The next book can’t come out fast enough. When when when?
Fans of the 50 Shades series and Bared to You series will devour This Man and Beneath This Man.

Just Reviewed: Fierce by Ginger Voight

FierceFierce by Ginger Voight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A few years ago I was at my sons’ elementary school Olympic Day. A group of boys started to "cheer" on a girl as she slowly made her way around a makeshift running track. "Go fatty go" they chanted as she passed by. I was horrified that these savages thought it was ok to say this. I remember looking at her face knowing this poor girl will remember this shitty moment in time. WTF? Ginger Voight’s latest book Fierce resurrected that day for me. Jordi Hemphill is overweight and has a larger than life singing voice (I picture her as Adele). Not a day goes by that Jordi is reminded that she is tipping the scales. After years of obese abuse she picks up and leaves her depressing life in Iowa to try and make it as a singer in Hollywood. Jordi is picked to be a contestant on a new reality TV show called Fierce. Fierce is “American Idol” for contestants who don’t look like your typical pop princess or rock God. Jordi meets and slowly falls for Jace Riga, one of her fellow contestants. Jace is an Iraq war veteran who lost his leg to a roadside bomb. Jordi's opportunist mom and her “boyfriend” Eddie thrust themselves back into her life to use her new found stardom as their own fat meal ticket. Eddie earned a top spot on my list of “Uber Sadist Douche Bags” with comments that include:

“Who do you think they’re going to vote for, Jordi? And who are they going to laugh at?”

“Look at you, Jordi. Really look at yourself. You have all these people telling you how wonderful you are when you’re nothing more than a fat, disgusting pig. And you know that deep down.”

While trying to juggle the stress of appearing on a TV reality show, her mom, Eddie, a witch diet coach and Jace… her anxiety levels rise as well as the numbers on her scale. Jordi continues to self-medicate by eating and falls ill on stage. Will she make it to next week? American tunes in to watch. Fierce is filled with so many sweet and sour emotional moments. I felt myself wanting to devour a bag of chips, a few chocolate bars and a gallon of soda along with Jordi. Her story is heartbreaking and such an emotional journey. Ginger Voight is rock star of a writer and story teller. I felt every ounce of pain and the dietetic pieces of happiness Jordi felt while reading this book. Four and half fat loving stars. Fierce can be read as a stand-alone even though it picks up from Mogul (book #3 in the Groupie series). The Groupie series is a MUST READ on its own. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series (please tell me you will Make it Happen GV).

Just Reviewed - Being Me by Lisa Renee Jones

Thanks to Gallery, Threshold, Pocketbooks and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Expected publish date: June 11, 2013.

Being Me by Lisa Renee Jones is one off the hook Bookgasm. There is no question why this series has been optioned for a TV show on the STARS network. Are you looking for the next piece of Kindle Crack to download? This book (this series) is it.

Being Me (Inside Out Trilogy #2) picked up right where book one left off. Sara McMillan and Chris Merit are caught up in a scorching hot, dark and stormy love affair. While trying to find out what happened to Rebecca, Sara and Chris try to battle their personal demons. Chris is going head first into DEFCON 4 self-destruct mode. Sara is desperate to understand all that is Chris. Together they are headed into a downward spiral of emotional abyss of pain. Sara and Chris’ explosive sexual chemistry becomes the catalyst to so much as they unravel themselves and the Rebecca’s story.

In Being Me, Sara becomes even more obsessed with Rebecca and turns into a sexed up, modern day Nancy Drew. Sara puts herself in danger as she starts to discover more and more about Chris, Rachel and herself. After begging Chris to let her into his head….he takes her on one hell of a field trip to destination mindfuckery…his reality. It’s all coming together and falling apart for this couple. Her beautiful broken artist happens to know his way around a whip as well as a paint brush.

Can Rachel figure out if Rebecca is alive? Is Chris to broken to fix? Who is the unnamed man in the journals? Is everyone who they claim to be in Sara’s new world of art, pleasure filled painful times, money and sex?

Being Me is one of the best sequels I have read. Lisa Renee Jones crafted the perfect mix of mystery, suspense and smoking hot smutastic romance that will have you all tied up in knots. This book is oh so sinfully sexy (fanning self). I think I needed to defog my Kindle screen a few times while reading this book. I can’t recommend this series enough. I would suggest reading book one If I Were You first. I’m overjoyed this series will be on the Stars Network…this series is HOT. Five painfully hot stars. This is Kindle Crack baby!

Just Reviewed: Beauty from Surrender by Georgia Cates --- All Time Best Series

Beauty from Surrender (Beauty, #2)Beauty from Surrender by Georgia Cates
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Laurelyn Prescott happens to be lucky number 13 on Jack Henry McLachlan’s love ‘em and leave ‘em list. He never expected to fall head of heels in love with her…and now she is gone. Beauty From Surrender picks up right where Beauty From Pain leaves off with Jack on the hunt for the one and only love of his life. Laurelyn returns to Nashville utterly shattered after telling Jack she loved him and he didn’t say it back. Many months and tears go by as she throws herself into her budding music career. She never thinks she will hear from Jack again. Jack leaves Australia in search of Laurelyn and finds her looking pretty cozy with another man. He leaves without even saying hello thinking someone else might have taken his place in her heart. Their stomach churning reunion is bittersweet but amazing. Jack has one month to convince Laurelyn that she is “the one” and come home with him to Australia.

I haven’t smoked a cigarette in like 25 years…but I considered having one after reading some of love scenes between Jack and Laurelyn in Georgia Cates Beauty From Surrender (book 2). Hot daymn! BFS is the epitome of a perfect contemporary romance novel. This is how you write delicious, romantic, erotic fun. Cates dished out a one hell serving of romance with a side order of smutastic yumminess. The dialogue between Jack, Laurelyn and her best friend made this book not only sexy as hell -- but laugh out loud funny. The sex scenes didn’t get old... they got better as their relationship grew stronger and unfolded page after page. Jack and Laurelyn’s chemistry is electrifying …especially when they started bumping lips and hips.
Georgia Cates knocked it out of park with Beauty From Surrender. I loved the way this story progressed from alternating point of views. I especially loved how Jack evolved from uber man whore to uber caveman man whore in-love. BFS has a little of everything…perfected blended like one of Jack’s fine wines…the ONWTFM (Oh No What The Fuck Moments), lust, love, heartbreak and yes a happily ever after! I have to say BFS exceeded my expectations. I devoured this book in almost one sitting.

Beauty From Surrender is not to miss...it’s a must read. I would highly recommend reading book one Beauty From Pain first. Georgia Cates said she might release a novella. I can promise you I will be waiting to download it. I adore this series as well as Cates writing. I love to write reviews because of books like this. Beauty From Surrender is 100% sweet kindle crack!

FIVE+ Aussie man whore loving stars.

Book Review: If I Were You (Inside Out Trilogy #1) by Lisa Renee Jones 5 HOT AS HELL STARS

Lisa Renee Jones Book
Lisa Renee Jones If I Were You (Inside Out Trilogy #1) is nuclear burning freakin hot Kindle Crack. Five HOT AS HELL Stars. High school teacher Sara McMillan acquires the contents of an abandoned storage unit that once belonged to a woman named Rebecca. Sara starts reading Rebecca’s private journals and going through her stuff. The journals are packed with Rebecca’s erotic adventures with an unnamed lover with whom she has an ecstasy inducing BDSM relationship with. Sara starts to question Rebecca’s well-being and her reasoning behind her decision to abandon everything in a crummy storage facility. Sara becomes obsessed with Rebecca and her life…so much so that she does a little research and ends up her job. She learns that Rebecca is on an indefinite leave of absence from her job at a popular art gallery. Sara meets Mark Compton, the owner of the gallery and he offers her a job as Rebecca’s replacement. She starts to get to know Mark and thinks he might be the man Rebecca described in her journals. Then again…could the mystery man be Chris Merrit, an artist affiliated with the gallery. Chris is a deeply broken man who warns Sara (who has her own share of issues) to stay away from him and all of his badness.
