This dark romance is everything. I guarantee that this action packed; dark romantic suspense will fog up your Kindle screen, make you twinge, and fall for a bad-ass hero.

Camila is a vigilante sex slave victim who is hell bent on taking down sex trafficking rings and freeing other women. She will do anything even if it means risking her freedom. While working on breaking up a ring, she runs into Matias, the love of her life who turns her world upside down for a second time. That’s all I’m going to say because I’m not going to spoil this book for you.

This book deals with some sensitive subject matter and is not easy to read at times. Disclaim is filled with plenty of well thought out, multi-layered plot twists, that I didn’t see coming. This book was haunting and darkly sexy at the same time. I have to say this is my favorite book by Pam. I would highly suggest reading the other books in this series to comprehend all of the characters' back stories. This book and this series are total dark romance lovers Kindle Crack.

It started off as character research and idea building for a book. Little did Anonymous know that she was one click away from a collision course that would alter her life forever.

Reading Anonymous' story was equivalent to watching a car crash in slow motion. You need to see what's happening. It’s morbid and a shock to your system. It’s wrong, but it’s a view you can't look away from. The wreckage. The aftermath. The collateral damage. The horror of it all. You want to turn away, but you can’t turn away and not know what happens. That’s how I felt reading while reading this book. I couldn’t turn away and put this book down if I tried. Author Anonymous is utterly unputdownable. I'm still thinking about this book a week after reading it.

E.K. Blair captured the heart and soul of Anonymous’ intense downward spiral into a fantasy world. It's a world that all of us book lovers can relate to on some level. Hell, I have 100 book boyfriends myself. Anonymous’ feelings are served up on a platter. This book is as real and as raw as it gets because it is a true story. Wait was worth the wait! I have been counting down the days for Austin’s story. We first met him in the earlier books in the Bleeding Harts series. Austin is Baz’s train wreck brother who hid behind his signature hooded sweatshirt. His troubled and tormented past followed him around like a dark cloud. He was a man of few words, so I was always super curious about what was in his head.

A.L. Jackson’s signature poetic writing style shines again in this intense second chance romance. Each and every page is filled with a firestorm of intensity. I couldn’t put this book down if I tried. Wait might be one of my favorite books in this rock-romance series.

“Shit,” I hissed, bracing myself against the spray of the icy shards pelting from the shower head.

PROLOGUE

Rosalia

“Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned,” I confess in the small booth and shut my eyes, causing two tears to roll down my cheeks in regret.

Sometimes we take risks and they don’t play out as we expected, but it’s better to regret something you did do than to regret something you didn’t do. Living with what could’ve been is far worse.

“You haven’t sinned,” a familiar, deep voice comments.

My gaze shoots up to the lattice screen in time to see Logan exiting the compartment. He yanks open my door, and I’m met with stormy, sapphire eyes – the color of a cloudless sky – that have haunted my dreams for many nights as he steps forward, but I push him out of the confessional with both of my palms on his hard chest.

“Where have you been?” I demand, wiping my tears away angrily.

As my vision clears, I’m astounded by how much he reminds me of the man I fell in love with. His navy dress shirt is tucked into his slacks, showing off his toned torso. Nonetheless, this is the man who is my Heaven and my Hell. My current Hell; but the time we lived in Heaven together isn’t easily forgotten.

He studies me for a long moment, as if I’m a figment of his imagination. Then he runs his fingers through his dirty blond hair and messes up the strands, making him much too appealing in his anguish.

“Rosa,” he says in a tormented tone. Reaching for me, he cups the back of my head and threads his fingers through my long black hair.

His sandalwood cologne invades my nostrils and brings back memories that are best left in some dusty corner of my mind. He lowers his forehead to mine, and I clutch his shirt as the passion he incites in me still pumps furiously through my veins. While we stare at each other, his thumb strokes the dimple on my cheek.

“I should hate you,” I mumble, confused.

“No. I’ve come to explain.”

“Explain what? You broke my heart and left. Everything’s ruined!”

“I had to leave to set things straight and make sure I didn’t get killed in the process, Rosa,” he snarls. Yet, in a softer tone, he adds, “But I had to see if you’re okay.”

We’re standing face-to-face, and as he tilts my head up, I recognize the flame of love in his dark irises. As usual, we lose control the second his mouth slants over mine. Logan’s lips urge mine apart, guiding me hungrily into his masterful kiss. He commands my emotions with the heat of his touch. One large hand covers my ass while he palms my head, and on their own accord, my arms wind around his neck. Our teeth clash and our tongues dance in a teasing foray – desperately recapturing a love that others tried to extinguish.

Growling, he lifts me up into his arms effortlessly. My jade knee-length dress rides up my hips when I hook my legs around him before he carries me to the church’s elevated altar, surrounded by devotional statues and lit candles. I’m shoved onto the two-step carpeted stairs in front of the altar while we grind into each other.

Logan nips a path up my throat as I gaze up at the painted angels on the dome ceiling, and he pulls my lips between his teeth, biting the corner of my mouth.

“I need to fuck you,” he groans huskily, pressing his rock-hard erection against me.

We’re both breathing heavily, forgetting where we are – in the Parish of the Blessed, in the middle of the day, with people inside the sacristy.

This is what he’s done to me. Even after everything, I’m unable to deny him. I’ve chosen to plummet into a world of sensual awakening with him once before, and I’m choosing it again.

Synopsis:

Hayden Hayes is from the wrong side of the tracks. He is a well- known superstar on an illegal underground racing circuit. Kenzie starts to fall for Hayden, but he is forbidden fruit. Sleeping with the enemy isn’t allowed to happen. Out of nowhere random accidents are starting to happen, and racers are getting hurt. Is this Romeo & Juliet of the racing world going to make it to the finish line in one piece?

I have to say I didn't like Kenzie at first. She was bratty and just plain mean to Hayden. As the book progressed, she started to grow on me. In the end; I liked this book, and I’m invested in these characters enough that I would read a sequel. I’m not sure if another one is in the works, but the ending left wiggle room for another book. There were a whole lot of racing scenes, but I was left waiting for more of the fast and furious emotional rush. SC Stephens fans should check this one out.

Blair

I casually walk around the cluttered racks and shelves of used junk, touching lamps and other random things occasionally, as if I’m just browsing and not intent on buying an illegal gun. I just keep wandering around until, what do you know, the shiny guns in the glass case just so happen to catch my eye. There are three choices, small, medium and large. I’m sure a gun enthusiast would know more about them like make or model, but to me, it’s just eeny, meeny, miny, moe.

Deciding on the large one so that I do this right the first time, I pull out the wad of cash I grabbed from my childhood piggy bank and start counting out the three hundred dollars required for my purchase based on the handwritten price tag. I lose count when the door buzzes, announcing another customer. Nosy, I glance over to see who it is.

My blood warms in my veins, sending a scalding blaze of heat from my scalp down to my toes at the mere sight of the tall man. Everything about him screams dangerous, from the thick chestnut-colored facial hair to his black leather jacket in summer and the cigarette billowing a cloud of smoke from between his two fingers. When he removes his dark sunglasses, it’s his lowered brow and deep set eyes that are the scariest. His cold gaze undresses me from my V-neck tee down to my open-toed platform sandals before he deems me lacking and quickly moves on to the used guitar display in the corner. But at least he actually saw me, if only for a few, brief seconds.

Brede

Lifting her off my bike, I stand her up next to it. Her legs are so wobbly she has to reach for the handlebar to hold herself upright. That’s fine, she won’t need to be standing for the next part.

“Get on your knees,” I order, and then I have to steel my features to hide my surprise when she obeys with no reluctance, kneeling right down on the uneven pavement. Her long, wavy butterscotch hair spills over her shoulders, throwing off streaks of gold in the sunlight, practically forming a halo.

My thrill-seeking angel is about to lose her wings.

Well, she may not lose her wings just yet, but those ivory feathers will definitely be stained. Darkened. And I wanna be the one who pluck every last one of them. Why is the idea of dirtying her up so f***ing hot?
