I was lucky to get an advanced review copy of Remy by Katy Evans.  Since I was able to read it early…so many people asked me the same few questions over and over again.  I am going to post them as my review them to clear the air about this brilliant, sexy as hell third installment in this series.

Q - Did I love reading Remy or was it a repeat of the first two books?
A- I loved reading Remy.  Albeit, Remy was a little repetitious since a good part of this book was the retelling of the original story.  What made it different was the way Katy Evans took us on a journey from past to present. Remy’s point of view packed a REAL punch.  This is his story retold through his black and blue eyes. He is one hell of a character…Remy is part wild man, part lion and walking sex on a stick. He is a super-sized sexed up caveman on speed. What is there not to love?

Q- Why was it so cool being in Remy's head/pov?  Anything new in the third book?
A – Did you read Real and Mine?  Enough said.  I effing loved it. There is some new material since Remy’s journey goes from past to present day. I do wish there was a little more of the present day story line included…but I was really happy the way this book played out. What a great HEA. You might be coming off an existing Remy high from reading Mine (Book #2). Lucky you… there is more lion licking love to be savored in book three.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free review. HEA/no cliffhanger. I highly recommend reading book one first.  4.00 - 4.50 stars.

S. Walden did a fantastic job wrapping up this emotional teacher/student sequel (Too Good #2). Book two picks up right where book one left off without skipping a beat. Mark and Cadence are thrust into a “grown up” relationship.  Mark is no longer Cadence’s math teacher and they are living together.  In Better, the unlikely pair has to deal with the harsh realities of life (bills, employment, trust etc...).  Aside from the large list of responsibilities starting to pile up…Cadence’s list of emotional baggage is growing as well. She questions her relationship with God, family, friends and Mark.  Mark’s secret was accidentally revealed and nasty words were exchanged. As Better unravels, Cadence painfully morphs into a bitter drunk and lost little girl. She tries to numb her anger with alcohol-- in order to forget what Mark said to her during the secret/fight drama. Mark vows to make things work between them as their life turns into one hell of an emotional obstacle course. That’s all I’m going to say since I don’t want to spoil this story.
I really enjoyed this book.  I will say I felt it dragged a little from time to time. I think I loved the taboo teacher/student dynamic in book one and I was a little bummed that this element was absent in book two.  Then again…I believe that the characters relationship had to evolve from teacher/student for this story to move forward. S. Walden’s Good series is not to be missed. I would highly recommend reading Better if you read Good (how could you not?!?!).  What an epilogue!!!!!
