Eighteen year old Marlene is abandoned by her boyfriend Luke while she was eight months pregnant.  He takes off to pursue his dream of being a rock star.  Four years later Luke is a mega-rock star and shows up at her job while on tour and wants to meet his daughter and get his girl back.  But Marlene has found a new boyfriend and she and her daughter are about to move to France with him. Sparks fly and Luke has only a few short days to prove he is worthy of his ex and his daughter before they leave the country.

I had a difficult time forming any sort of a connection with Marlene and Luke. Luke was an uber dbag with no redeeming qualities. Marlene was a bit of a door mat and the way she dealt with her boyfriend wasn’t entirely fair.  I wish that some of the dialogue with her family was shorter and the plot was infused with a better balance of drama, angst and some additional character development. Love of a Rockstar ended too abruptly. I wish there had been an epilogue to tie up loose ends.  Overall, this was a sweet and sappy second chance romance.
