Chapter One
Casey
I was a bloody mess, sitting on Finn effing Daley’s kitchen counter. My skin was
torn and mangled, and there were rivers of crimson running down my thigh and
puddling in my socks. It was an unusually warm fall day, so I was wearing my
favorite blue running shorts and a t-shirt—an outfit that allowed for such an
injury, and one that now felt exceedingly indecent. Especially when he was so
close that I could feel his breath marking my skin.

If I was producing this clusterfuck of a story for TV news, I would definitely
use this scene as the Teaser. That’s what I wanted to do with my life, work as a
broadcast journalist. I had learned that starting a story with blood and the hint of
sex was pure magic. It didn’t get much better for the viewing audience.

Remembering back, however, I guess there was more than just a hint of sex that
day—so there’d have to be some major editing done before it ever hit the air.
Consider this the unabridged version.

What a twisted journey.  Pepper Winters knocked it out of the park with this final installment in this dark, intense and raw and series.
I'm just blown away and still awash in some roller coaster ride in Q & Tess’ dark abyss.  I just finished this book last night…WOW. On a scale of 1 to effed up…Q & Tess have clearly surpassed effed up.

To me was the beauty of this story was watching the metamorphosis of Q.  Q will always be a pain inflicting, sexually charged monster with a heart of gold.  As he shed some of own pain, he was able to let some light into his darkness and have some of his personal demons fly free.  Then there was Tess...finally letting go of her own fears and going toe-to-toe with a devil in the flesh. Tess and Q embraced the dark and light in their lives together to find true happiness Twisted Together. Q & Tess’ special brand of heaven and hell is like no other.

There were a few scenes that gave me a heart attack and their wedding left me speechless. At times I felt like was on a sex crazed spin cycle of madness, and it did get a little repetitious.  I guess it could be justified...it's what they did best - bite, smack, bleed, screw...repeat. Pepper managed to peel back a few more layers of crazy, and we finally learn why Q is the way he is.

I know some readers might compare this series to Captive in The Dark by CJ Roberts or Consequences by Aleatha Romig...but it's very different.  Twisted Together is my favorite book in this trilogy and a must read for any dark erotica fan. 5 dark stars!
