Blair and West hit the road on a 50 stop international tour. Blair packs up the few things she owns including a truckload of emotional baggage and decides to give West a chance.  West manages to break down the hardened shell she has built around her heart.   Their relationship goes from lust to must, and these two can’t get enough on each other.  Life on the road is not a 24/7 party for rocks new “it” couple.  West is still battling addictions, and Blair is starting to get tired of dealing with groupie sluts and the bands' ass clown band manager. Can West and Blair learn to trust? Is Blair just Wests' latest addiction?

What a kick ass second book from newbie Aussie author Amity Cross. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Book two exceeded my expectations. I was a little bummed that there's a cliffhanger...but I have to say I'm over it. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this sexy, dysfunctional rock and roll tale of the heart.

Reagan gets pregnant at 16.  Her boyfriend wants nothing to do with being a teenage baby daddy and kicks her to the curb.  Reagan is close to her family, and she leans on them instead of her sons’ absentee dad. Reagan is fiercely independent, and a single mom completely devoted to her six year old son. Reagan swears off men and relationships.  She refuses to get hurt by another man.  Reagan ends up meeting Coen, her brothers’ hot friend that he met in the army.  Coen just got out of the service and is pursuing his dream of owning his own photography studio.  He is plagued with flashbacks and stress from horrific incidents that happened when he was a POW.  Coen does not feel he deserves to be happy. Reagan believes she is better off on her own. Can the two find peace and love?

Overall I liked Capturing Peace.  I liked it the way Reagan and Coens' connection built up. They did not have the insta-love thing going on…and the plots pace worked for these two emotionally guarded people.  Reagan was a solid character.  She was such a strong and smart character.  Coen is every single moms dream man. I know this was a novella (but I wanted more).    I liked these two characters, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the Sharing You series. I have to say it was pretty cool to have a hero that wasn’t the stereotypical typical black-blond/ hair and green/blue eyes.  Go one click this one!

We had to work late to finish the final prep for our trip to L.A., and because there had
been a problem with the heat in the office all day, it was completely sweltering.
“Are you sure you wouldn't rather do this at your place or mine? It's so hot in here,” I
“Here is fine. We'll manage.” He’d taken his suit jacket off, removed his tie, rolled his
shirt sleeves up and undone several buttons, revealing a small portion of his muscled chest.
I'd taken off the opaque tights I'd worn under my dress earlier that morning, as well as the
tailored jacket I wore over my mod-style tank dress. I was still overheated so I'd tossed my hair
up into a messy bun on top of my head. If anyone came into the office, we certainly didn't look
“Where do you want to start?” I asked. I put a mock copy of the handouts I'd put together
for his speech in front of him on his desk.
He picked one up and looked it over. “These are good. Have them sent over to the
printers and shipped to the hotel in L.A. so they arrive before the conference.”
“What else do we need to go over?” he asked.

Amazing novella! Kim Karr does it again. Huge bonus preview for Mended (Book #4)  is excellent.

Dazed (Connections#2.5) is the latest installment in Kim Karr’s Connected series.  Dazed is the story of Aerie (Dahlia’s best friend) and Jagger (River’s sexy model/actor cousin). Have no fear River and Dahlia fans…they are nicely woven into this story. This sexy and sweet novella is NOT to be missed.   I am a HUGE fan of this series and was deliriously happy to have this novella to satisfy my Connection series/Kim Karr fix. While this is a novella – it’s not short of character/plot development and packed with enough drama, angst and romance. One click this one!

Hunter stood in line and watched Cam tend to the few lingering post-lunchtime customers. Cam's smile came a little easier and his stance less guarded.
His body, although still lean, was tighter and a little broader from the yard work at the halfway house. A slight tan colored his skin now, the faint golden tone further accentuating the blue in his eyes and the white of his smile. His hair had a sprinkling of highlights as if the sun had kissed his head. Sunrises gave him hope, but they also seemed to awaken a natural physical beauty that had been hidden for far too long.
"How can I help you? Sir," Cam said when it was finally Hunter's turn at the register.
Hunter leaned over the counter. "You know that drives me nuts."
Cam smiled and grabbed Hunter's tie to pull him closer. "I know." After a quick peck, Cam released him.
Hunter reached over and rubbed Cam's stubble. "Are you letting this grow out?"
Cam shrugged. He looked away and scratched his growing scruff. "It makes me look older."
"Since when do you want to look older?"
Cam shrugged again and fidgeted with the receipts.
Realization finally hit Hunter. He grabbed Cam's chin and forced him to make eye contact. "Are you doing that for me?"
Cam's mouth narrowed and his brows lowered. "There's not much I can do for you. So if growing some hair on my face will make you feel a little less self-conscious, then I'll grow a full fucking beard if I have to."
