 Micah is just barely legal.  Her fake ID says she is 21 but in reality she is only 17. She ran away from her past, and trying to make it as a singer. Saxon is already a washed up rock star at 25. He lost it all after a near fatal accident cost him his career. Micah auditions for the band Sax is managing. They hit the road and go on tour. Sax and Micah experienced a lot in their short lives, and they are little broken and feeling guilty about the mistakes they made. Can they move forward and grow or will a fake ID change it all?

Wicked Innocence might be my favorite books by Missy Johnson. I liked the way this fast-paced story played out from dual points of view.  This forbidden affair (Micah is 17 & Sax is 25) is illegal…but it wasn't portrayed entirely as a “forbidden fruit” kind of teacher/student affair. Micah is a strong and smart young woman…but I wouldn’t call her wicked.  This book did not end with a cliffhanger.  Go one click this not so innocent rock and roll fairy tale.

I took it, letting my fingers glide over his. His eyes darted toward me briefly and my heart jumped. I quickly looked down, busying myself with his music collection. I ran through artists until I came across Severed. Smiling, I clicked play.
“You have your own music in here,” I said with a giggle.
He shrugged. “If I don’t appreciate it, then why should I expect anyone else to?”
“I guess. I just think it’s cute. Like an actor going to see themselves at the cinema.”
“You don’t think Nic Cage or Brad Pitt go to the movies?” he asked in mock horror.
“I don’t know. I met Brad Pitt once in Starbucks.” 
He chuckled. “I can just imagine how that went down.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked, narrowing my eyes. 
“Well, you were kind of freaked out when you realized who I was. Meeting someone actually famous? You’d lose the plot,” he laughed.
“Well, in my defense, I didn’t have posters of Brad Pitt all over my walls—” I shut my mouth, but it was too late. No, no, no…
“You had posters of me on your walls?” he repeated, amused. “Micah, that is adorable.”

“Shut up,” I mumbled, coving my face with my hands. He chuckled loudly next to me, clearly not ready to let this go. “No! No laughing. Just shut up and drive.”

Fallon’s life is fairly uncomplicated until Luca starts showing up everywhere she that she is.   She falls hard for the Italian speaking, green-eyed hottie businessman.  Fallon puts on “blinders” and chooses to ignore the warning signs of Luca's sketchy behavior.  Finally his disposable phones, random meetings and travel become too much to ignore.  Luca’s shady actions start to add up and negatively impact her feelings for Luca.  Is he married?  Does Fallon know too much already?

Luca is a criminal figurehead in a violent mob organization.  He falls for Fallon while she is under mob related surveillance to find her ex-boyfriend.  He wasn’t supposed to fall for her.  Luca knows he can’t be in a relationship with someone who isn’t connected to his world. Could he reveal himself to Fallon and would she stay with him?

I liked that this book wasn’t a run of the mill insta-love book.  After a lot of character and relationship building, this story picked up speed at 50% of the way in.  Luca and Fallon’s chaotic and sexy love story unravels from alternating points of view.  They love, lust and lie to each other and themselves.  This romantic suspense thriller has a lot of unexpected plot twists. For Fallon, it ends with a cliffhanger…but that shouldn’t stop you from reading this book. I will read book two as soon as it's available (SOON I HOPE).  What an amazing debut book from this new author!

No shortage of wild, wet, and more-than-willing participants fill the dark, smoky adult club that Mike and Russ dragged me to. Dragged may be too strong of a word, I went willingly. True, this would be my first experience in a club like this, and I even surprised myself at just how much I enjoyed everything about it...
The large wooden stage at the front of the club would soon become the platform for the uninhibited, the exhibitionist, and at times, as I quickly found out, the perverse. Play parties, as they were commonly referred to in these adult clubs, were the main attraction.
Sex acts in this public forum were the norm for most here, but for me, the closest I ever got to sex in public was a lifeguard tower or backseat of a car.

I am shocked that there isn’t more buzz about this book.   I could see this book turned into one hell of a cable show/movie.  It was everything a suspense/thriller should be, and more….this is Kindle Crack!  Check out my review & author giveaway!

 I’m still in recovery mode after reading Leverage.  I felt like I was going to stroke out or have a panic attack while I was reading this book.

 Leverage is a non-stop roller coaster ride filled with plenty of twists and turns. Thompson spins a well-crafted, intriguing web of lies, deceit, and mafia-style violence.  This suspenseful thriller kept me on the edge of my seat.  I couldn’t put this book down.  Period. I didn’t read The Mistaken (Book #1) prior to reading Leverage (Book #2),but I had no trouble diving into to this story. There was an adequate amount of the character's history provided, so I didn’t feel lost at any point.  Leverage can be read as a stand-alone novel. I am shocked that there isn’t more buzz about this book.   I could see this book turned into one hell of a cable show/movie.  It was everything a suspense/thriller should be, and more….this is Kindle Crack!
