Mine (Real book #2) by Katy Evans is the highly anticipated, super sexy sequel in the Real series. This book is going to hit you hard and fast like one of Remy's infamous punches. You will need to order-in food, lock yourself in a room and hope everyone around you will leave you the heck alone to read this book. Once you pick it up you aren’t going to want to put it down. Mine is like an amphetaMINE. This book is a drug…it’s called Kindle Crack. I couldn’t stop myself from speed reading Mine even though I wanted to savor each and every page. I think I went all “speedy” like Remy.
I don’t think I can write much Mine without giving anything away…and I am not going to ruin anyone’s Remy experience. If you thought Real was hot….wait till you read Mine. Katy Evans did an incredible job crafting Remy and Brook’s characters. Their nuclear connection crackles off of each and every page. If you can’t feel their connection while reading Mine…I would call 911 and have the doctor check your pulse to make sure you have a heart beating in your chest. This book is sexy as all hell without being over the top.
Katy went cranial... she got in these characters heads in such a big way. I often wondered if she was she was "method writing" (my definition of the writers’ equivalent of method acting). You probably know that “method acting” is when an actor recalls emotions or reactions from his or her own life and uses them to identify with the character being portrayed. Oh Katy..if you were method writing…I am speechless.
Katy effing Evans nailed this book and its characters. She totally captured and released every possible emotion of Remy and his lioness. There is a lot of love, licking and lion like behavior in Mine. I think I might lick my Kindle screen thinking about Remy and Mine... Wtf did I really just write that? Oh yes I did. HA. If you thought Real was hot…be prepared to turn up the heat some more. *Dying* for Remy (book #3) to release on November 26th.
Is it possible I love Remy just a little more after reading this book? Yup. Mine is an absolute must read. I will say it has landed a top five spot as one of my favorite books of the year. Thank you Katy Evans for creating books that keep my reading addiction alive.
