Blog Tour Review - Worth The Chance by Vi Keeland 5 Stars

I loved Worth The Chance (Book #2) by Vi Keeland. This is a stand alone series (no cliffhanger to deal with). Wait till you meet Vinny. Be prepared to defog your Kindle screen.

WORTH THE CHANCE
BY BESTSELLING AUTHOR VI KEELAND
A New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 17th, 2014
Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I’d know him anywhere. Sure, he’s grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I’d much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She’s smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she’s dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I’m damn good. But there’s one woman that isn’t interested. Not again, anyway.

Vince ‘The Invincible’ Stone is every woman’s fantasy…strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he’s learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own…for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there’s no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

About the Author
Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn't change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work. ARC kindly provided by in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free review. Stand-alone but part of a series. 5 Stars. HEA. No cliffhanger.

Last night I learned that my flight (leaving cold and snowy NY) to go to the Dominican Republic was cancelled. I was supposed to leave a 6:30am. I didn’t wake up this morning bummed….I woke up thinking about Vinny and Worth The Chance. No joke. Worth The Chance is one of my favorite books I have read this year.

Vi Keeland knocked it out of the park with her new MMA fighter story Worth The Chance (Book #2). Vinny from Worth The Fight (Book #1) gets his own book. I will keep this summary short…so it can remain spoiler free. Vinny is an up and coming middleweight fighter. He’s cocky, sexy and smoking hot. Despite having a combustible upbringing (His mom is a crack head and his father is dead) he managed to keep it somewhat together. While teaching a self-defense class, Vinny meets Liv. Liv is working as a junior reporter at the Daily Sun Times and is assigned to writing a story about the class. Liv fell hard for Vinny while tutoring him in school. They were together one day and then their relationship was over the next day. Liv never got over Vinny and never knew why he broke things off. Things started to heat up again between them…in a big way. Liv’s boss gives her the opportunity of a life time – to write an exposé about a Senator. If she publishes her story, her life may never be the same because of the fallout it would case. Liv doesn’t want to lose her chance at her dream job nor a second chance with Vinny.

I loved this “unputabledownable” second chance love story. Vinny is absolutely freakin hot and his alpha-caveman attitude was oh so sexy. Vin and Liv ‘s nuclear chemistry fried my Kindle screen a few times. This story had a few good ONTHH (Oh No What The Hell) moments…where I wanted to drop kick Vinny and Liv’s co-worker. Vi’s plot and character development was amazing. She was able to tap into the characters’ emotions in a relatable manner. Worth The Chance has an ideal mix of angst, drama and steam. I plan on auto downloading the next book. One click this book now…you won’t be disappointed. Worth The Chance is absolute Kindle Crack.
This review appears on href

Excerpt Liv’s POV
Vinny slips on a pair of running shorts and reaches down to the

floor, pulling up the panties I’m still searching for. “You looking for

these?” He twirls my sad excuse for underwear around on his one

finger with a devilish grin.

“Yes.” I reach out to grab them, but Vinny’s too quick. He folds

them into one hand and hooks his arm around my waist, pulling me to

him with the other.

“Stay. I’ll be back in less than two hours.”

“You want me to stay?”

Leaning down, his mouth close to my ear, he responds, “I want

you in my bed waiting for me when I get back.”

His words are kind, and I appreciate him offering them to me, but

it’s not necessary. I’m a big girl, he doesn’t need to coddle me after a

night of passion. “It’s okay.
