Spoiler-free Review of Burning Blood
Burning Blood by Pepper WintersMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Burning Blood by Pepper Winters is book two in the Darkest Destiny Trilogy, and it does NOT come to play. Burning Blood picks up right where Darkest Destiny left off without skipping a beat. Rook and Lucien’s soul-deep, all-consuming connection evolves into something I did not see coming.
Pepper’s signature addictive writing style shines bright in this dark, twisted world of Cinderkeep. I’m not going to regurgitate the synopsis—just go in blind. Trust me. Actually, stop reading this review and start this romantasy series now.
Okay, if you’re still here reading this…I am NOT okay and need the final book. That cliffhanger ending was a banger. I’m fully invested and counting down the seconds until Forsaken Fate releases in December because I need to know how this all ends.
Series Reading Order:
• Darkest Destiny — Book 1
• Burning Blood — Book 2
• Forsaken Fate — Book 3 (December 2026 release)
