I’m Wilde for Kim Karr and Xander Wilde. Kim knocked it out of the park with her latest installment in the Connections series. Connected (Connections Book #1) is one of my all-time favorite books and I’m happy to write that Mended (Book #3) has earned a “favorites” place in my heart.
Xander and Ivy’s worlds collide and they are they forced into working together after breaking up years ago. Xander never got over Ivy…but for a while it seemed as if Ivy had gotten over Xander. She is engaged to her manager – Xander’s father’s arch nemesis –Damon. Ivy is still in love with Xander even though she is going to marry the the evil Damon. She still harbors a lot of anger from the way Xander ended their relationship, but she never stopped loving him. Their connection is undeniable and just when things look they can Mend their relationship and love again…the past comes back to haunt them.
Xander always seemed like such an uber-tool in previous books in this series. I didn’t think I was going to like him…well I was right. I don’t like him…I love him. In Mended, we finally learn Xander’s backstory and all about his history with Ivy. Xander had every right to be the moody ass he was portrayed to be in other books in this series. His behavior all makes sense. The connection Xander and Ivy shared was so intense that it was nuclear…igniting a few of my virtual Kindle pages along the way. Mended is a filled with passion and steam; and is such a beautiful installment in this addicting series. Kim is such a fantastic and engaging writer. I will auto download anything Kim writes. I highly recommend this book and this series.
Mended is such an addicting emotional rollercoaster ride that I didn’t want to get off of it. What a perfect mix of steam, angst, drama and romance. River & Dahlia, Jagger and Aerie’s story lines continue in Mended and were also integrated seamlessly in this book. I cannot wait to read Ben’s story. Once again…thanks for the Kindle Crack Kim Karr.
