This second chance m/m romance took my breath away. Julie Richman’s captivating writing style kept me glued to my Kindle from the first page to the last.  Henry’s story came to a beautiful end at Henry's End (yes, I know what you’re thinking). BUT you need to find out what I am talking about you pervs ;)

This is not a “pornified” m/m driven story. Please don’t get me wrong. I LOVE crazy hot m/m romance books, and Henry’s End has a satisfying spice factor that is not amplified or overdone.   If you're curious and thinking about "dipping your toe" in the m/m gay romance genre, this is absolutely the book to read. If you are a seasoned m/m romance reader, you will be equally enraptured by this beautiful, emotionally driven, sexy story. Henry’s story is believable, real, and full of heartfelt emotion.  Julie managed to pull on my heart strings and didn’t let go. I laughed, I cried, I screamed and then I couldn't wait to tell you how much I loved this book.

Henry’s End is a standalone book and based on characters from Julie’s best-selling Moore trilogy.  If you haven’t read the Moore series, you will not feel lost.  If anything, you will want to read more about Henry’s old friends in the Moore series.  Henry’s End was all that and Moore ❤.

I was already loosening my tie as I stalked toward her and said, “Clothes off, boots on and get on your knees.”
Velvet didn’t waste a second. She slipped out of her one-piece in a swift movement and sank to the floor. The moment I felt her take me into her warm mouth, it was like a thousand pounds had been lifted from my shoulders.
A long time ago, long before I should have, I learned to separate the physical from the emotional and mental. I told myself that just because my young body had been stolen from me and manipulated in ways that would make even the toughest man cry out in agony, I didn’t have to feel it. Not deep down inside. I didn’t have to accept what was being done to me. So I pretended to be somewhere else. I pretended to be someone else. I let my mind drift to thoughts of my parents, imagining what they may have looked like, dreaming about happy smiles and warm hugs and kisses on my cherub-like cheeks. I painted pictures of family vacations at Disney World and barbeques in the backyard. I told myself that we would have a dog named Buddy. Mama would tie bandanas around his neck, and Papa and I would take him for walks and play Frisbee with him at the park.
I had built an imaginary fortress, and in it, nothing could touch me. I was safe. I was happy. And I was loved. That was what I told myself, and that was what I held onto everyday since to survive.
As I grew older, and was no longer held captive by the physical pain, I was left to face the emotional hurt that no one could see. I was like a pariah to the family that had taken me in. We were related but they didn’t know me, and what they did know about me was deviant and disgusting. Too awful to talk about. So I suffered silently in my mind until it became necessary to tell myself lies.
Lies like the ones I was telling myself right now.
I want this. I need this.
I’m totally normal.

I see her coming before she sees me.
She’s squeezing through the traffic jam of people in front of the door to her office building. I walk slowly up the sidewalk, taking my time so I can watch her. I always watch her. And right now I’m watching as her heel gets caught in a crack in the sidewalk. I hurry to help her as people pass by, either ignoring her or snickering at her as she tries to pull her wits together. 
“Okay down there?” I put my hand out to help her. She looks up at me with large green eyes and rosy red cheeks. I feel my blood flow speed up. Ellie on her knees, all doe-eyed and humiliated. I’d take her in that position any day. She doesn't respond, and I frown. Did I say something wrong? Maybe she’s really hurt. “Ellie, are you okay? Do you need me to carry you?”
Her lips finally move. “No, I’m okay.” She fumbles as I pluck her up and help her to stand. She stares at me, looking a little lost. “That’s good.” She smiles, and the sentiment shines in her eyes. There’s no false pretenses with Ellie—what you see is what you get. Maybe that’s what draws me to her, she’s genuine. I haven't had much honest-to-goodness in my life. It’s refreshing. 
“No lunch for you?” she asks, as she makes her way around the table. 
“I have another meeting in an hour. Mark said I can utilize the conference room to do some work and kill time.”
Bullshit.
“I see.” She picks up the last file folder and is now standing quite close to me.
“What about you?” I ask as I eye her. 
“My lunch is sitting right in front of you. I’ll be dining on miniature cupcakes.”
“Healthy,” I mock. 
“I know, but they’re little. So…less calories.” She shrugs playfully. 
“I guess that’s one way to spin it,” I respond, pulling the silver tray toward me. “Which flavor is your favorite?” I pin my stare on her. 
She swallows thickly, “It’s a toss-up between red velvet and lemon drop.”
“Well, I’m a red velvet man myself.” I pick up the last red velvet cupcake on the plate. “Would you mind sharing your lunch with me, Ellie?” 
“Of course not, it’s only polite to share,” she says, fiddling with the collar of her shirt. I think I’m getting to her. I know I shouldn't toy with her, but it’s just too easy, and I want her so much. I wonder if I pull the blinds so no one in the office can see us, could I seduce her right here on the spot, live out my fantasy just once, then never look back again? Instant gratification and selfish desire all wrapped up in sunny afternoon.
I pull the wrapper off the red cake and then split it in two. “Sit.” I order her.

“Do I make you nervous, Ellie?” I ask as I lightly lick the cream cheese frosting.

“I see.” I stare at her intently, licking off the icing exactly how I would lick her clit given the change; slowly, in a circular motion, covering every single inch. “Aren't you going to eat?” I ask enticingly, right before I stuff the naked cupcake into my mouth. Yum. 
I raise my eyebrows expectantly as Ellie just sits there unable to move. That’s when she shoves her half of the cupcake into her mouth. I can’t help but smirk and brush a crumb off her bottom lip. This is the most unintimidating woman I have ever met, and hands down the sexiest. 
If I were ever going to break my own rules, it would definitely be for her.
