Synopsis
Mega rock star, Alex “Zander” Metcalf is burned out after nearly two years touring with his band, as well as emotionally drained after his sexual preferences were exposed by the media. He is ready for a long sabbatical – alone, and retreats to the east coast island of Martha's Vineyard; leasing an oceanside estate.

Alex seeks the quiet lifestyle of a recluse to write new material for his band, only to meet the handsome estate manager, Chase, and his gorgeous fiancée, Danni, living in the guest house on his property. Alex's hope of solitude is soon forgotten when he discovers Chase has a repressed bi-sexual side that is aching to surface and Alex is more than happy to help him explore it.

What neither Alex or Chase expects is the emotional power of their chemistry expanding to involve the three of them when Danni becomes entangled in their passion. Alex believes he has finally found his perfect menage relationship with Chase and Danni.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free. HEA/no cliffhanger. 4.50 – 5.00 stars. This book can be read as a stand alone.

I have a tripod. Well I don’t have this kind of tripod. My tripod is used for selfies and family photos. Well...it turns out that my tripod isn't as sexy as the M/M/F tripod arrangement In Take What You Want (The Rock Gods #2) by Ann Lister. Who knew?

Xander (Alex) is a smoking hot bisexual rock God who leaves LA for some much needed R&R.  He rents a house and meets Chase, the hot property manager. Chase lives on the rental property guest house with his fiancée Danni.  Danni leaves their home for a few months to finish school.  Before she takes off she has a conversation with Chase about his attraction to men after she catch him watching gay porn.  She encourages him to explore this side of himself before they get married.

Alex suspects Chase is also bi and is very attracted to him.  Chase reluctantly tells Alex that he has always been bi-curious.  The two men become fast friends their budding attraction starts to become undeniable. Well one thing leads to another and the two men act on their nuclear chemistry (Thanks for melting my Kindle screen Ann ; ) Alex wants to meet Danni when she returns from school.  He is eager to see if they can turn this relationship into a tripod since they are both like P&A. Can this unlikely union work? Does Chase want to share Danni? Does Danni even want to hook up with someone other than her fiancée? Can Chase have his sweet piece of rock god man cake and eat it to? Can Alex finally find love with a couple? I’m not spoiling this one.

Aside from the panty/jock strap melting steam factor…this story is filled with love, lust, heartbreak and everything in between. Ann Lister nailed all of the angst of the trios’ journey into pursuing this alternative lifestyle/union. I will say I didn’t connect with Danni as much as I did with Chase and Alex. Her involvement with Alex didn’t seem as authentic and intense.

I totally understand that gay erotica isn’t for everyone.  Hell, vanilla erotica isn’t for everyone ;).  If you want to give it a whirl…check out this series. Ann Lister is a rock star of a writer.  Fall For Me (Book #1) is also equally amazing. This woman can write blistering hot, gay, toe curling erotica! I’m dying for the next book.  Take What You Want is absolute Kindle Crack. ❤❤❤❤❤

About The Author:
Ann Lister is a native New Englander currently living on the island of Martha's Vineyard with her husband. She has pulled details from her years living in the New England area and uses many local settings and landmarks in her novels.
After graduating art school and raising two daughters, she established her own video production company. Her nearly two decades working in video production included work within the music industry and won her a coveted Telly Award. It was this 'behind-the-scenes' exposure to the music world that inspired many of her novels.
In 2013 she released Book One of her new rock star series: The Rock Gods. Book One is titled, Fall For Me. This novel is her first full-length gay, erotic romance and it is also a Finalist novel for the 2013 Rainbow Award.
Book Two in the Rock Gods series is titled, Take What You Want. This story is a m/m/f menage and released in early November 2013. Book Three, titled: Make You Mine, is expected to release in Spring of 2014. When not writing, she enjoys reading, creating stained glass, and traveling.

I am going to top line my review so I can remain spoiler free. Strapped was a fast read that was reminiscent of 50 Shades. Shyla Ball lands a dream job after spilling a hot cup of coffee on hot billionaire/ CEO Taylor Holden. She is instantly smitten with Taylor even though he seems to be harboring some dark secrets.  Shyla breaks up with her live in boyfriend after she cheats on him with Taylor.  She finds herself  falling hard and fast for a man that she is trying understand. Taylor is a complex man full of phobias, commitment issues and a personality disorder (or he’s just a moody freak). They embark on a dysfunctional relationship of sorts. As he starts to trust Shyla he slowly lets her in on his disturbing past. She also learns that he is into BDSM and decides to explore this side of him. Taylor finally lets her into his heart and his grey room of pain...but she might not make it out alive.

Strapped had a good amount of angst and some steam.  The character/background/plot development was amazing. Strapped ends in a cliffEFFINGhanger and I hope we don’t have to wait too long to read book two.
