NEW RELEASE REVIEW: US by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy

If you love sports and m/m romance this one is for you!  I LOVE this series.  Check out my review below.  No cliffhanger....just saying :)

Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated?

Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He's living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves–Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There's just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.

Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It's not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn't help that his new job isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves.

Or can they? When Wes's nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly?

Warning: contains sexual situations, a vibrating chair, long-distance sexytimes, and proof that hockey players look hot in any shade of green.

Title: Us (Him Book #2)
Authors: Elle Kennedy & Sarina Bowen
Release Date: March 8, 2016
No cliffhanger/Book 2 in series

We first met hockey hotties, Ryan Wesley and Jamie Canning, in the friends-to-lovers m/m romance, Him (Book #1). In Us (Book #2), the boys get a dose of relationship reality with all of the ups and downs of living together. It's not easy balancing a career and relationship especially when you are trying to stay on the down-low with fans and nosey teammates. Us is not all hearts and hockey. While Us is packed with a lot of sizzling sexiness and heartwarming passion, this book has its share of depressing moments. The fragility of Ryan and Jamie's relationship felt so real and raw that even I started to get the blahs. I know, I know, it's just a book, but it felt so real! That's how good the writing was!

I have to say that Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen scored a winning goal with Him. After reading Us, I decided they get to take home the coveted Stanley Cup! I am praying for a “hat trick” and we get a third book in this series about a gay teammate or something (hint hint can you write one?). I love this series and this writing team! I would recommend reading Him before reading Us to understand the boys' history. One-click this one.

EXCERPT:
At long last, I’m twenty paces away, then ten. Then I’m opening our door. “Hey babe!” I call out like I always do. “I made it.” I drag my duffel over the threshold, then toss my suit coat on top, abandoning these things beside the door, because all I need now is a kiss.
Only then do I notice that our apartment smells amazing. Jamie has cooked dinner for me. Again. He is the perfect man, I swear to God.
“Hey!” he calls, emerging from the hallway leading to our bedroom. He’s wearing jeans and nothing else except—and this is unusual—a beard. “Do I know you?” He gives me a sexy smile.
“I was going to ask the same thing.” I’m staring at the sandy-blond beard. Jamie has always been clean-shaven. I mean—we’ve known each other since before facial hair. He looks different. Older, maybe.
And hot as blazes. Seriously, I can’t wait to feel that beard against my face, and maybe my balls… Jesus. The blood is already rushing south, and I’ve been home fifteen seconds.
And yet I’m just stuck there in the middle of the room for a moment, because even though it’s been eight months since Jamie and I started up together, I’m still a little stunned at my own good fortune. “Hi,” I say again, stupidly.
He walks forward, his easy gait so familiar that my heart breaks a little bit. He puts his hands on my traps and squeezes the muscle there. “Don’t go away for so long. If you do that again, I’m going to have to sneak into your hotel room on the road.”
“Promise?” I ask, and it comes out like gravel. He’s close enough now that I can smell the ocean scent of his shampoo and the beer he drank while he waited for me.
“If I ever get a winning lottery ticket and a day off, I’ll do it,” he says. “Hotel sex after a game? Sounds hot.”

Now I’m measuring the distance to our sofa and counting the layers of clothes I’ll need to remove in the next ninety seconds.

A former SEAL now employed by the Special Operations Group of the US Marshal Service, Kreed spent most of his life working covert operations and avoiding relationships. Review of Full Domain
Full Domain (Nice Guys, #3)Full Domain by Kindle Alexander

4.50 stars/5.00 for series
Title: Full Domain (Nice Guys #3)
Author: Kindle Alexander
Release Date: January 18, 2016
Standalone/No cliffhanger

Full Domain (Nice Guys #3) is the latest installment in this hot, sexy and smart series. You could read Full Domain as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading it in order. There is quite a bit of backstory to digest, and the first two books are incredible!

I loved Kreed Sinacola, the big badass Federal Marshal, and Aaron Stuart, the purple haired geeky hacker. These two couldn't be more opposite. Their love story develops while working together investigating and bringing down a hate crime organization. I enjoyed the hacker/mystery/crime thriller wrapped around an HOT m/m romance. One click this one!

This review appears on www.kindlecrack.net, www.facebook.com/kindlecrack, Goodreads, Amazon, Pinterest, Google+ and Twitter. A review copy of this book was kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Excerpt:

“You’re so fucking sexy with those fuck-me-I’m-so-smart glasses on and that intense look on your face.”

Aaron glanced up and narrowed his eyes as he shoved the glasses off to the top of his head and stretched out his back. There was just something about the big, gorgeous deputy marshal growling those words at him that made his dick want to come out and play. A tired yawn from hours of sitting behind his laptop slipped free as he rubbed his eyes.

“And those noises you make are a complete turn-on.”

“I have a feeling it doesn’t take much to turn you on. A slight gust of wind would probably have you at full mast,” Aaron teased, lowering the lid to his laptop.

Author Bio:

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

New M/M Sports Romance: Play Hard by J.T. Fox

Check out my review of this new m/m sports romance!  Play Hard is available for 99 cents.

Blurb:

Wanting him is the riskiest play of all…
Miami star quarterback Jordan Barr is the hottest man that halfback Eric “The Brick” Higgins has ever laid eyes on, and he’s wanted him in his bed for years.
When a chance encounter puts the two pro football players in the same town, the same TV studio, and the same locked room, the sparks don’t just fly, they burn. The chemistry between them is intense, immediate, and explosive and Eric isn’t about to miss his chance to have Jordan off the field. He’ll have Jordan naked in his bed—rumors of game fixing haunting both of their teams be damned.
Eric is one extraordinarily stunning man, and Jordan would love nothing more than to show Eric what it’s like to be taken by someone who knows exactly what he wants, in the bedroom and out. But Jordan has bills to pay and far too many responsibilities to throw caution to the wind.
He has to resist. But it’s getting hard….
Really, really hard.

Play Hard is the first installment in a three-part MM romance trilogy and ends in a cliffhanger.

Review of Play Hard
Play Hard (Hot for Him #1)Play Hard by J.T.  Fox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.50
J.T. Fox’s debut m/m sports romance was short and sexy.
While the plot was predictable, I think that this series has some potential to make a touchdown! The epilogue left me wanting more. I will one-click the sequel, Play Harder when it releases for my next m/m romance fix.

Excerpt:

Another roll of thunder boomed, shaking the walls of the Tampa TV station as Eric followed the redheaded intern through the dimly-lit hall toward the green room. He would be soaked to the skin if his driver hadn’t walked him from the limo to the glass doors of the skyscraper underneath a giant golf umbrella. He was glad he’d listened to his agent’s advice and hired a car and driver instead of a rental convertible for the trip.
Sure, he wanted to feel the wind in his hair, but that would have to wait for a weekend when he didn’t have to worry about looking pretty for the camera.
“What a storm, huh?” The intern glanced back at him with a wide, double-dimpled grin that lit up her pretty face.
She was a cute one. He was sure most men went crazy for her girl-next-door good looks.
“Should I call you Brick or do you prefer Eric?” she asked.

CHAPTER ONE

Eric

Another roll of thunder boomed, shaking the walls of the Tampa TV station as Eric followed the redheaded intern through the dimly-lit hall toward the green room. He would be soaked to the skin if his driver hadn’t walked him from the limo to the glass doors of the skyscraper underneath a giant golf umbrella. He was glad he’d listened to his agent’s advice and hired a car and driver instead of a rental convertible for the trip.

Sure, he wanted to feel the wind in his hair, but that would have to wait for a
weekend when he didn’t have to worry about looking pretty for the camera.

“What a storm, huh?” The intern glanced back at him with a wide, double-dimpled grin that lit up her pretty face.

She was a cute one. He was sure most men went crazy for her girl-next-door good looks.

“Should I call you Brick or do you prefer Eric?” she asked.

“Well,” he said, glancing at her name badge, “Kim, I like how both names sound rolling off your tongue. Do I detect a hint of southern belle?”

She giggled. “Born and raised a Georgia peach. I’m a senior at UGA, interning here in Tampa this semester.”

“Georgia. Never was a fan, but you might change my mind. The SEC sure does
have the prettiest women around.”

“And the best football, too,” she teased.

Eric couldn’t argue that point. His years playing for Florida State had taught him to never underestimate any SEC team. They were sneaky bastards who came up from behind to take a national title from their opponent and never look back.

Couldn’t take it from him, though. He’d been there, won that. As a second-string halfback his sophomore year, he’d never expected to get a chance to play, especially in the title game against Georgia. Then suddenly, the first string player tore his ACL and the assistant offensive coordinator yelled for Eric to fill in.

Before he could say, “Go ’Noles!” Eric was on the field scoring the winning
touchdown.

His life hadn’t been the same since.

“I have a small request, and I hope you don’t mind,” Kim said. “But your agent said you’d be willing to sign some autographs before the interview. You’ve got quite a gathering of fans waiting for you.”

He flashed a grin. “Don’t mind at all. I’m as quick with a pen as I am on the field.”  Eric winked, his smile transforming to a booming laugh as Kim opened the door to reveal a room packed wall to wall with Marauders fans, mostly women holding pictures, notebooks, jerseys, and Sharpies.

“Hello ladies!” he said, turning on the charm since this was, quite simply, one of his favorite parts of the job. Not the sea of women, per se. But the adoration. The love for the game and the love for The Brick.

God, it felt so fucking good to have fans.

The moment he stepped through the entryway, a din of feminine screams drowned out the loudest roll of thunder so far. The storm outside couldn’t compare to the swirling tempest of excitement in this room. When Eric “The Brick” Higgins was in play, even Mother Nature should be prepared to take a backseat.

Eric spied a couple of young boys to his left and made a beeline for them first. He hated to make kids wait and knew the mamas in the room would love him even more for showing his soft side to their sons. “What’s your name, tough guy?” he asked the smaller of the two.

“Dylan.” The boy’s chocolate brown eyes went wide in his face.

“Dylan, do you play football?” Eric knelt down to be on Dylan’s level before taking

the glossy headshot from the boy’s hand and signing it with a Sharpie that seemed to appear out of thin air.

“No, sir. My brother does. I will when I’m bigger.”

“Are you his brother?” Eric turned to the older boy next to him, signing the jersey he held.

“Yes, sir. And that’s my mama and my baby sister.” He pointed proudly to a tired-looking woman with tightly curled brown hair, holding a sleeping baby in the corner of the room. “My name is Christopher. I’m seven and a half. You came to visit my football camp this summer. I’m fast like you and getting faster every day.”

“I just bet you are. And I remember you, man. You were tearing it up out there.”

Title: Defining Us
Author: Zoey Derrick
Release Date: December 1, 2015
Cliffhanger: No

Love isn’t always easy or pretty. Especially if the thought of kissing the man you are in love with makes you want to puke.

I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching Eric and Calvin’s budding romance come to life. This pseudo GFY (gay for you) rock star romance was full of emotion and was heartbreaking at times. Defining Us can be read as a standalone. I really wish I read the other books in this series first (the other characters backstories sound nuclear hot)! I plan on reading bringing the 69 Bottles books with me on vacation after I defog my Kindle screen from this hot m/m love story.

I can't wait to read this new m/m rock star romance!
Release Date: December 1, 2015

Defining Us: The Story of Calvin & Eric is a Standalone, Full Length Novel. Can be read without reading the other books in this series.

Loving someone completely means giving them your heart, soul, body and mind. What happens when your heart and soul love someone, but your mind and body refuse to follow?

For Calvin Caldwell, being the lead guitarist of America’s hottest rock band 69 Bottles has its perks. Performing night after night with his closest friends, he finds peace with a guitar in his hands. Playing music wipes away his unimaginable past, albeit temporarily. He struggles not only with who he is as a person, but with who he wants to become and what he is hiding.

Being in love with someone certainly isn’t the problem. He’s been in love for a long time, but what defines him is what keeps him from the person he loves.

Seeing something you so desperately want, but can’t have…

Eric Richardson knows exactly what he wants out of life.
He wants to play bass with his friends because performing gives him a high better than any drug he’s ever used. Being on stage is where he feels most comfortable.

But what happens when being on stage is no longer enough to satisfy him? What happens when the person he loves, doesn’t love him in return?

You fight for it.

You define it.

You prove it.

Excerpt
I vaguely remember waking up at one point during the night to throw the covers off of me because I was hot, but then I started shaking with a cold sweat. All I really remember thinking was, fuck, I hope I’m not getting sick, before rolling back over and falling back to sleep.
When I come to, I look at the clock, it’s eleven-thirty. It has to be nighttime because my room is pitch black. I feel like I’ve slept for days and…I shake my head, dismissing a memory before I capture what it was. I get out of bed and notice that something is off. “Why I am I upside down?” I ask myself and I shrug it off. Unable to fully understand how I ended up upside down on the bed. I walk around the bed, catching myself on something on the floor. I reach down and find…jeans? Why would these be on the floor? I shake that off too before I step into the bathroom, flipping on the light and I’m blinded by it. I rub my eyes to adjust to the brightness before heading toward the toilet, reaching for my boxers only to realize that I’m not wearing any. “Fuck, how drunk did I get last night?” I grumble to myself, then a massive wave of nausea overcomes me so fast I don’t have time to think about it before I’m hurling into the toilet. Cold sweat breaks out over my entire body as I keep heaving into the toilet.
But I feel fine. In fact, I feel like I do when I hurl from…
It’s like a sledgehammer hitting me, sending me hurling into the toilet again. The memory slides inside, flashing before me. Eric, here, kissing, fighting, arguing, talking, kissing, making up, walking into the bedroom, kissing, sucking, licking, sixty-nine, leaving, lube, condoms. I want to try something…what is it…I’d like to take you from behind.
I hurl into the toilet again as the nightmare consumes me. Sliding back into the institution and being raped, being forced to come, being….  “Oh! My! God!” I scream as I hurl into the toilet once more.
Eric…where…
Oh god…Fuck!
I manage to swallow back the nausea a little bit. My stomach is empty as hell, nothing is left to come back up anymore anyway, and I stumble into the shower. Unsure of what to do, I clean myself off, brush my teeth and get dressed as fast as I possibly can. I have to go find him, I have to… fuck, he is never going to forgive me for this. If he tucked me into bed and left me alone in the dark, then he’s not here, he obviously doesn’t…I hang my head, shame wracking my body to the point of throwing up again. He will never forgive me for this.
