“Kali!”
I hear Damion shout, but I do not stop. I spot an open elevator and slip inside moments before it closes. I hesitate only briefly, then punch the button for the office floor. If I go to my room, Damion will follow, and I will cave and let him in. I can’t talk to him until I figure out what I’m feeling. Not right now. I won’t talk to him right now.
Hugging myself, I wait for my floor, trying to stop the shaking. Damn it, I’m weak. I don’t want to be weak. The elevator dings for my floor and I exit. Dana is on the phone and waves at me, giving me a smile I just can’t return. At my desk, I all but fall into my chair and will myself not to cry. I grab a stack of mail and start opening it, trying to stay sane.
I know the moment Damion is in the lobby, the scent of him blistering my nostrils. He is like a drug. I think I’ve become that to him, too. He is risking too much for me. I have to leave here, and him, and it’s going to destroy me.
Suddenly he is standing beside me, towering over me. “Let’s go talk.”

Insidious by Aleatha Romig is absolutely brilliant. This new raw, in-your-face, erotic suspense thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat Romig style!  Insidious is a dark and twisted roller coaster ride that will blow you away.  Romig turned up the heat and mind-screw factor with this one. I will not tell you anything that will spoil this one for you. Romig has raised the bar with her highly skilled ability to weave together a compelling thriller with an intricate web of sex, lies and video tape.

The characters in Here With Me are still here with me…in my head and my heart a week after reading this book. I devoured this “unputabledownable” book in one day.   This book cut my heart in two.  I knew from the synopsis that Evan wasn’t dead.  The way he was reintroduced back into Rylie’s and Evan’s lives was like ripping a band aid off. You know that feeling when you know you have to pull off a band-aid from a painful injury…and you know it’s going to hurt, and you want to get it over with.  I wanted it to happen….I was a wreck.  The way this story unraveled, the characters heartfelt emotions bled onto each page. This picture perfect romance turns into the ultimate gut wrenching, angst-filled love triangle.

Heidi McLaughlin hit it out of the park with the first book in the Archer Brothers series.  There is a cliffhanger…but do not let that deter you from experiencing this beautifully written, emotion packed book.  Here With Me is a must buy!
