Title:              Diamond Girl
Author:          Andrea Smith
Publisher:      Meatball Taster Publishing
Pub Date:       April 11, 2013
Genre:            Fiction-Romance-Erotica

SYNOPSIS:
What happens when a 35 year-old soccer mom from Indianapolis, Indiana sends her only child off to college and suddenly discovers that she has no identify of her own?

That's exactly what happened to Samantha (Sammie) Dennison. Her marriage was loveless from the start; her 'mannequin' husband has his own agenda which has never included her, and she feels lonely, ignored and downright frumpy.

Her best friend tells her to get a life, and that's exactly what Sammie does, starting with a Kickboxing/Pilates class to get into shape, and then continuing her regiment by signing up for pole-dance lessons. Sammie graduates at the top of her class, and ultimately ends up with a secret career as a pole dancer at a Gentleman's Club in Indy called 'Jewels.'

Known only by her dancer name, "Diamond," she is well on her way to finally carving out a secret life and identity all of her own that brings excitement and mystery to her otherwise mundane existence. The thrill of the dance and sexuality she discovers within herself is a potent mixture, but it's all about the dance with Sammie.

That is, until bad-boy biker Slate enters the picture. He is the ultimate 'alpha' male and quickly draws the attention of the dancers - including Sammie. Slate is a 'prospect' for the notorious Outlaw Motorcycle Club, but he is also inexplicably drawn to "Diamond." Sammie is totally out of her league with Slate and the dangerous people he associates with in Indianapolis during the summer of 2012.

Meanwhile, Samantha's husband, Jack is up to something.  It involves her father's business, Banion Pharmaceuticals, where Jack holds a high-level position.  Unbeknownst to anyone, the Feds are involved, and their investigation will lead to many surprises, and innocent people will become targets as a result of Jack's greed.

No spoilers here, but something BIG is brewing in Indy; and it ain't about race cars either!

'Diamond Girl' will keep the reader on the edge of their seat from beginning to end; this book has it all: passion, erotica, romance, danger and possibly more . . . much more.

Note:  This book is based loosely on actual events that occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana in the summer of 2012 which led to massive arrests involving certain members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club after a two-year investigation conducted by various federal agencies, including undercover FBI agents.  The names have been changed to protect the parties.  Other events depicted in this book are purely fictional for entertainment purposes.

Because of Kian by Sibylla Matilde is LIVE

Because of Kian I will never look at a purple rope in the same way ever again.  My review to follow next week!  Enjoy Kian.

**Mature Content, Abuse, Sexual Situations, Adult Situations, Strong Situations, Strong Language **

I know I’m twisted. Growing up in a perfectly well-adjusted home, I don’t really have
an excuse. But no matter… I realize how messed up I am. And therapy can only do so
much.

I pushed my boyfriend to violence, a violence he couldn't control. Sickly, I almost liked
it. So I pushed him more. Before long, the pain outweighed the pleasure and the loss
I sustained shattered me. So I ran. I’m now a bit shell-shocked harboring a lot of guilt.

My boyfriend is now my ex and wants revenge. He wants me to pay for turning him into
the monster he’s become. And I still have a deviant yearning that I don’t understand. My
own monster inside… my own demon to battle.

I can’t get close to anyone. I can’t give in and scratch that itch. I can’t wreck someone
And now there is Kian… my rescuer on a dark, painful night. He sees through my
pretense. He tries to pull me from my frightened isolation, to keep me from becoming a
victim. He forces me to face my warped desires and shows me that pain doesn’t really
have to truly hurt.

He wants to show me a way to serenity. But I am afraid… Will I ruin a good man?

Sibylla Matilde grew up in the mountain valleys of Southwest Montana exploring the dusty Old West gold country on the back of a horse. She attended a two-room schoolhouse beginning in 1st grade & had the same teacher until she changed schools after 7th.
Beginning at about age 12, Sibylla discovered historical romance, feeding off of work of Jude Deveraux & Lisa Kleypas. She loves a book that can make the reader run the gamut of emotions, from the sweet glow of new love to gut-wrenching heartache. She is a true romantic & always has stories floating around in her head, living in a fantasyland until she writes them down to free them.
Music is her emotional trigger. Growing up with a Wagnarian-loving mother, Sibylla was raised to treasure music that digs deep into the psyche, drawing out elation, sorrow, grief, desire. The soundtrack to her life includes many genres spanning centuries. She looooooooves Thirty Seconds to Mars (ratherobsessively, actually... but, really, how can you NOT be crazy about this guy!? Jared Leto. Shhh.</ strong>) & pimps them out to all her friends through Spotify. She also delights in Met HD broadcasts at her local movie theater & hopes (listening Met?) to someday see Diana Damrau reprise her role as Mozart’s Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte.

Sibylla lives with her husband and hero who saved her from her own calamitous, young-adult self.
He makes her laugh daily, even when things are tough. He's proved to her that love really can heal a
shattered soul. In 18 years, they have never had a fight, although argue regularly with their two teenage
kids who have, unfortunately, inherited their father’s quick wit (unfortunate as it is a quick wit that
Sibylla, herself, definitely does not possess – there is a reason she is a writer & not a stand-up
comedian). They live a quiet life with their two weird little rescued Chiweenies. Wait… teenagers & little yap-dogs? OK, maybe not so quiet.

Synopsis
A Novella
My name is Autumn Winters.
The truth is, that's the biggest lie I've ever told. My real name is Olivia Redmund. Autumn Winters is the curtain I hide behind. You see, I write bestselling erotic romance novels. But my life is far from erotic. The only fantasy exists in my head. The day I met Hunter Grayson, that all changed. A handsome stranger on a train who turned my world upside down, made me think and feel things I never knew were possible. But he's hiding, too. What happens when I slowly realize that who I truly am is more similar to who I'm pretending to be? I want to be brave enough to tell the world, but the fear is crippling. Fear of myself. Fear of the unknown. Fear of what others will think. But life is too short to be afraid. And I'm so damn tired of hiding.
**This is an Adult Contemporary Romance and due to strong language and sexual content, is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**
Finding Autumn by Beth Michele
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free review. No cliffhanger. HEA. 5.0 stars.

Finding Autumn by Beth Michele is one hella of a novella. It’s short, sexy, steamy and sweet all at the same time.  I devoured this book in one sitting and it was the perfect indulgent escape. It's a novella (124 pages) but it didn’t feel rushed or cut short.   I’m a big fan of Beth’s and love her other books.  Beth normally doesn’t write steamy books…and I like that she ventured out of her comfort zone.  She’s so talented. I never thought I would be thanking Beth for fogging up my Kindle screen…but here I am saying thanks for this delicious fairy tale.

ALSO check out Beth Michele’s other books: Love Love, Lovely and Scarred Beautiful.

Stop reading this and go one click Finding Autumn.  I hope Beth writes another book and makes this a series.  More Hunter please!

Excerpt
“Shit,” I mumble to myself when I spy the pink vibrator, glaring proof of my non-existent sex life now on public display.  “God damn it,” I utter again, shaking my head and scrambling to grab it, when I notice a pair of beautiful, masculine hands scooping up my belongings.  Completely mortified, my cheeks flush a deep red, and I’m silently praying he hasn’t spotted my favorite sex toy.
My eyes make their way from the ground, climbing past the hands and up the length of strong, muscular arms to an absolutely gorgeous face, and I take a hard swallow.  A chiseled jaw with a hint of stubble, irises the color of aged brandy, a sharp, sculptured nose, and perfectly tousled hair that matches his hypnotic eyes.  I don’t realize that I’m staring until his lips quirk up into a grin.
Could I be any more obvious?
He tosses the items back in my purse and nods toward the vibrator.  “I’ll let you handle that one,” he offers, his voice a rich timbre to my ears.  “Although,” he whispers, leaning in close, “I’m sure I could put it to good use.”
My mouth drops open in surprise, just as he reaches his thumb out to skim my bottom lip.
“I’m pretty sure I could put this sexy mouth to good use, too.”

FINDING MY WAY by Heidi McLaughlin

“Liam?”
I turn at the sound of my grandmother calling my name. She beams at me when I step toward her with an out stretched hand.
“I want to you meet a friend of mine,” she says. “Liam this is Tess and her son Harrison James. Tess is the personal assistant to my casting agent.” We spent a day going over all the jobs in the industry. There are so many that I got lost and like a true grandma, she made a list for me so I wouldn’t forget. “Harrison plays the drums at a club called Metro. They have open mic nights if you’re interested in talking to him about it,” she whispers. I nod, acknowledging what she’s telling me.
I step forward and shake both their hands. “It’s nice to meet you both,” I say.
“You too, Liam, your grandmother has told me so much about you. She’s very happy you’ve decided to stay with her.” I look at my grandma who is smiling from ear to ear.
She pats my arm. “Why don’t you take Harrison out back and show him around?”
“Okay, grandma.” I kiss her on the cheek and signal toward the patio door. Harrison follows, stepping out into the early evening sun. I walk until I’m at the back, where there is a table set up.
“Sorry about my grandmother in there. I think she’s trying to make up for all the years we’ve missed.” I sit down and lean my chair up against the tree.
“It’s okay. I was pretty much forced to come here tonight.” I inspect Harrison. He’s a bit taller than I am and far skinnier. He has a few tattoos on his arms, making wonder if they’re a necessity in the music industry. I quickly look down at my arms, curious as to what they’d look like with inked etched on them. One thing is for certain, my parents would flip and that thought alone makes me want one.
“Because of me?” I ask already knowing the answer but needing the confirmation.
He nods. “Yeah,” he says without making eye contact. “My mom is close to your grandmother so they plotted and here I am.”
“I’m sorry. If you want to leave, I can make up some excuse.” I know what it feels like to be put in awkward situations. My dad has done it to me many times, which only spurred me to withdraw from him more and more.
Harrison shakes his head slightly. “I’m cool.” He looks down at the ground or his feet. It’s not like I want to stare, but I’m trying to figure him out. He runs his hand over his beanie, moving it back and forth before leaving it where it originally was.

Capturing Peace by Molly McAdams NEW SERIES - Review & Giveaway

I love Molly McAdams and Tyler Seielstad might be my new favorite photographer. Check out my review & author giveaway.  Don't forget to check out Molly's inspiration for Coen...web site info in my review.  You do not want to miss this.
Title: Capturing Peace

Capturing Peace Synopsis:
Coen Steele has spent the last five years serving his country. Now that he's back, he's finally ready to leave behind the chaos of the battlefield and pursue his lifelong dream. What he wasn't expecting was the feisty sister of one of his battle buddies—who has made it obvious that she wants nothing to do with him—to intrigue him in a way no woman has before.

Reagan Hudson's life changed in the blink of an eye six years ago when she found out she was pregnant and on her own. Since then, Reagan has vowed never to let another man into her life so that no one can walk out on her, or her son, again. But the more she runs into her brother's hot and mysterious friend, the more he sparks something in her that she promised herself she wouldn't feel again.

Can two people with everything to lose allow themselves to finally capture the love they both deserve?

Capturing Peace (Sharing You, #0.5)Capturing Peace by Molly McAdams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

PLEASE VISIT THIS SITE – www.mollysmcadams.com/capturing-peace....  Molly’s friend Tyler Seielstads photos were the inspiration to write *his* story.  Go check out the “real” Coen!   Tyler is pretty talented.

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free review. No cliffhanger. 4.0 stars. HEA.  Part of a series but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Reagan gets pregnant at 16.  Her boyfriend wants nothing to do with being a teenage baby daddy and kicks her to the curb.  Reagan is close to her family, and she leans on them instead of her sons’ absentee dad. Reagan is fiercely independent, and a single mom completely devoted to her six year old son. Reagan swears off men and relationships.  She refuses to get hurt by another man.  Reagan ends up meeting Coen, her brothers’ hot friend that he met in the army.  Coen just got out of the service and is pursuing his dream of owning his own photography studio.  He is plagued with flashbacks and stress from horrific incidents that happened when he was a POW.  Coen does not feel he deserves to be happy. Reagan believes she is better off on her own. Can the two find peace and love?

Overall I liked Capturing Peace.  I liked it the way Reagan and Coens' connection built up. They did not have the insta-love thing going on…and the plots pace worked for these two emotionally guarded people.  Reagan was a solid character.  She was such a strong and smart character.  Coen is every single moms dream man. I know this was a novella (but I wanted more).    I liked these two characters, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the Sharing You series. I have to say it was pretty cool to have a hero that wasn’t the stereotypical typical black-blond/ hair and green/blue eyes.  Go one click this one!

About Molly:
Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry four-legged daughters. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
